Biography

The Biafra-Nigeria war, also known as the Nigerian Civil War, began when the eastern section of Nigeria seceded and declared itself the Republic of Biafra on May 30, 1967; composed mainly of the Ibo people, the new country boasted major oil fields; recognized by few nations, the secessionist state was overwhelmed by Nigerian armed forces by January 12, 1970.

Collection consists of printed and photocopied articles, reports, etc. relating to the Biafra-Nigeria war.
