Series 2 Fred Hart and His Predecessors 1923-1977

Physical Description: 2 Cartons, 27 Folders

Scope and Content Note

Fred J. Hart was Margaret Surbeck's father. A well-known proponent of electromagnetic therapy, he drew on the theories and patented inventions of Albert Abrams (1863-1924), who founded the Electronic Medical Foundation. Hart collaborated with Thomas Colson, editor of the EMF journal from 1928-1946. From childhood Margaret was familiar with Hart's practice and knew how to operate the Abrams' Oscilloclast to stimulate healing and the Radioscope for blood diagnosis).

Physical Description: 7 Cartons, 54 Folders

Scope and Content Note

The Surbecks funded a research project in which low level radio frequency energy was applied to cancerous mice and the effect measured by tumor growth and health of the specimen. All mouse experiment activity took place at the South Dakota School of Mines laboratory. In Palo Alto, California, the Surbecks received daily reports of the readings and Robert DeVries plotted this data on a computer.
This series is restricted until 2019. Student and patient records are also restricted according to HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
