Abstract: Daniel G. Aldrich was the founding Chancellor of the University of California, Irvine. The records in this collection document many of the professional activities he engaged in while serving as chancellor, his speeches and involvement with community organizations, and records from his world travels. Also included are realia like a T-shirt, insignia patch, audiovisual recordings, yearbooks, photograph and memento books, and the first UCI Medal and pin awarded by the Chancellor in 1984.
