Abstract: This collection comprises an autograph
album containing autographs, poems, friendship sentiments, quotations, and pencil drawings.
The album was presented to Ella Lyon by her mother on her 16th birthday (1881, Jan. 17). The
Lyons lived in Tustin, California. Materials in the autograph book are from friends and
relatives from surrounding Southern California communities, mostly from Tustin but also from
Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Ana.

The album contains several tipped-in items, including a dried plant and an 1895 funeral
notice.
