Scope and Content of Collection
Contains primarily landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. Several images of mines, sluices, and hydraulic mining. Landscapes of
Oregon, two views of San Francisco, and one of Comptche, Mendocino County. There is one stereo each of members of the Piute
(i.e., Paiute), Pit River (i.e., Achomawi), and Yosemite (i.e., Miwok) Indian tribes.
Organized by series: Pacific Coast; Gems of the Pacific Coast; Gems of the Pacific Coast, Reached by the Southern Pacific
Railway; Yosemite Valley, California.
