Biography / Administrative History
Delcie Erma Vuncannon (1925-2007) held graduate degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. She resided near Joshua
Tree National Park for 24 years while teaching archaeology at College of the Desert, Copper Mountain Campus.
Scope and Content of Collection
Collection of photographs, negatives, color slides, and associated archival materials documenting Native American rock art
sites throughout the western United States. Paper documentation includes a variety of materials, including maps, articles,
and notes describing specific rock art sites. Collected by Delcie Vuncannon between the years 1974-1990s.
