    Biographical Note

    An American physicist and member of the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory staff from 1943 to 1946. Agnew participated in the first atomic strike mission, flying as a scientific member of the crew.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    Correspondence, reports, photographs, and miscellany, relating to the explosion of atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan in 1945. Includes motion picture film depiction of the explosions.
