Description
Binder of mimeographed materials titled "Biographical Information" pertaining largely to his World War II service in the Corps of Engineers and his postwar service as Chief, Natural Resources Section, General Headquarters, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, in Tokyo, Japan and includes personal data, bibliography, military job descriptions, and testimonials, 1921-56; and an unsigned typescript biography, also largely relating to his military service.
Background
Schenck, who earned his degrees at the University of Oregon and the Univesity of California, taught geology at Stanford University.
