Biography

Vance Studley is the printer and designer for Barry Moser's Pennyroyal Press. Barry Moser (b. 1940) is an award winning artist who has illustrated over 300 books, including Moby-Dick, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and the Caxton Bible. He currently is faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design and Smith College.

Collection consists of proof prints, wood engravings or resingrave engravings, by Barry Moser. The majority of the prints were designed for the publications Portraits, Literary Genius, Huckleberry Finn, and Men of Printing.

Portrait of Ann Patchett was designed for the book, but per Patchett's request was not included in the final publication.
