1. Research Files 1800-2005

Scope and Content Note

The bulk of the collection's holdings had been previously been delineated into research subjects by Stern and Kramer and members of the WSJHA. Accordingly, the collection retains the folders' subjects and titles originally provided by collectors. Repeat folder subjects have been collapsed and collated to include other folders and related materials scattered throughout the collection. In addition, the research files have been divided into seven subseries. The "Biographies," "Congregations," and "Institutions and Organizations" subseries also have "Miscellaneous" categories including materials about individuals and organizations outside of the research subjects given by WSJHA.
