Abstract: Norman Mailer and Lawrence Schiller published the book,
Marilyn Pictures by the World's Foremost Photographers, ca. 1973. The collection consists of a set of original photographic art prints (oversize and poster size) of Marilyn Monroe
as displayed in Peri's Pictures' Marilyn Monroe Exhibition.

Biography
Norman Mailer and Lawrence Schiller published the book,
Marilyn: Pictures by the World's Foremost Photographers, ca. 1973. To promote the publication, photographs were generated from the book and used in three exhibitions titled,
Marilyn Monroe: The Legend, The Truth. Peri's Pictures acquired the exhibits' photographs which were displayed at Peri's Santa Monica Gallery under the title,
Marilyn Monroe Exhibition (ca. 1970s-1980s).
Scope and Content
Collection consists of a set of original photographic art prints of Marilyn Monroe as displayed in Peri's Pictures', Marilyn
Monroe Exhibition. Includes oversize and poster size photographic prints most which were originally found in the publication,
Marilyn Monroe: The Legend, The Truth. Includes images originally created ca. 1945-ca. 1952 by photographers such as Eve Arnold,
George Barris, John Bryson, Andre de Dienes, Milton Greene, Lawrence Schiller, Sam Shaw and others. Whenever possible the
processor has tried to identify the photographer.
Organization and Arrangement
The collection is loosely arranged by what appears to be the photographer.
