Description
One volume contains images of student life at Stanford, 1909-1910, including track meets, interiors of rooms in Encina Hall, crew team, student excursions off campus, the summer geology trip of 1909, and a photograph of Domenico Grosso, the "hermit" of Stanford University. The second volume contains photographs and postcards pertaining to mining operations in the American West and in Central and South America, ca. 1920.
Background
Peterson earned his a.b. in geology at Stanford University in January, 1910; he was chief geologist with the Texoma Natural Gas Company.
