Description
The collection contains records, articles, leaflets, momentos,
and reading material kept by the organization.
Background
Stanford Against Conscription (SAC), formerly or also known as Students Against the
Draft, was a campus group which existed from early 1979 until 1985. A coalition of
Stanford groups and individuals concerned and active in opposition to the draft, SAC
worked at many levels: campus, the Bay Area, statewide, and nationally. The organization
attempted to operate non-heirarchically through the consensus process.
