The collection contains seven diaries (about 500 pages), 1861, 1863-1864, from an unidentified Civil War Union officer, Illinois
Infantry, 103rd Regiment, who participated in the Vicksburg and Chattanooga campaigns, and the battles of Lookout Mountain
and Missionary Ridge.
