and a workbook "Prezzo del lavoro Stanford" documenting the cost of the work on the mosaics. Many of the original paintings
in the collection were executed by Antonio Paoletti. Some of the pieces in the collection document work rejected by Jane L.
Stanford, including a design for the Church's facade.

Biographical/Historical Sketch
The mosaics in the Memorial Church at Stanford University were designed and installed by the Venetian studio of Antonio Salviati
& Company.
Description of the Collection
Collection pertains to the design for mosaics to be installed in the Stanford Memorial Church and includes original oil paintings
and watercolors; hand colored photographs of designs; photographs of design paintings and of the finished mosaics in the Church;
and a workbook "Prezzo del lavoro Stanford" documenting the cost of the work on the mosaics. Many of the original paintings
in the collection were executed by Antonio Paoletti. Some of the pieces in the collection document work rejected by Jane L.
Stanford, including a design for the Church's facade.
