Dr. Jerry Briscoe was a Professor of Political Science at University of the Pacific.

Scope and Content of Collection

Collection consists of materials collected and written by Briscoe on the general topic of California recall elections in the 20th century. Includes reports and survey responses on both city and school district recall elections in a variety of cities. The files for Stockton are particularly rich in information on recalls in the 1940s and 1960s.
