Description
Collection includes four photographs of library staff at the Lockheed facilities and two articles on the freezing process.
Background
The basement of Meyer Library at Stanford University was flooded in November 1978 from a ruptured water main. Affected books were frozen and then dried in a vacuum chamber at the Lockheed Missiles & Space Company in Sunnyvale, California.
