Abstract: This collection comprises photographs and a California vacation album that belonged to Georgina D. Bremer, a Maywood, Illinois
schoolteacher. Photographs are of Bremer, her family and friends, and her home in Maywood. The vacation album documents
a trip to Southern California in August 1922 with stops at popular tourist locations, including San Juan Capistrano, Tijuana,
San Diego, Riverside, Catalina Island, Glendale, and Long Beach.

Collection Scope and Content Summary
This collection comprises photographs and a California vacation album that belonged to Georgina D. Bremer, a Maywood, Illinois
schoolteacher. Photographs are of Bremer, her family and friends, and her home in Maywood. The vacation album documents
a trip to Southern California in August 1922. Bremer traveled with a small group of tourists and family. She took a train
to California and traveled between destinations via automobile and boat. The album includes photographs of sites in San Juan
Capistrano, Tijuana, San Diego, Riverside, Catalina Island, Glendale, and Long Beach. Bremer added captions describing the
photographs and her experiences. The collection also includes two postcards that were probably obtained during Bremer's California
vacation in 1922.
