Arranged alphabetically.

Scope and Content Note

Includes letters from writers, poets, scholars, friends, etc.; other bookstores; publishing firms; private presses; magazines; literary agents, etc. Letters which are not listed are arranged alphabetically in folders labeled "Correspondence Miscellany (unlisted letters)," in Box 14. Very few copies of letters written by Ferlinghetti and other members of the company were included in the collection. These have been retained with the incoming letters and are noted in the partial list of correspondents. Letters from unidentified correspondents are at the end of the file. The following materials are available on microfilm (BANC FILM 2794): Howl correspondence, Yvor Winters correspondence, Jack Kerouac correspondence, and Allen Ginsberg and Louis Ginsberg correspondence.
