Description
The bound manuscripts collection consists of over 700 manuscripts from the 7th to the 19th century and covers a wide variety
of topics. The collection includes a papyrus fragment from the 7th century, a North French or Flemish Book of hours (late
15th or early 16th century), Persian and Arabic manuscripts, manuscript books from the 16th through 18th century, commonplace
books, Friendship albums, and personal journals.
Restrictions
Property rights to the physical objects belong to UCLA Library Special Collections. All other rights, including copyright,
are retained by the creators and their heirs. It is the responsibility of the researcher to determine who holds the copyright
and pursue the copyright owner or his or her heir for permission to publish where The UC Regents do not hold the copyright.
