Description
These records include constitution and by-laws, agendas, correspondence, notices of events, clippings, membership lists, and their newsletters CONSERVATION NEWS, 1967-69, and CHALLENGE, 1969-70.
Background
The Stanford Conservation Group was a student group concerned with educating the University community about conservation, environmental planning, and population control. They sponsored speakers, films, exhibits, and wilderness trips; published a newsletter; and participated in public hearings on environmental issues.
