Description
Shannon Crandall (1871- ) was born in Colusa, California. She was president of the California Hardware Company (1918), director of the Security First National Trust and Savings Bank and president, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce (1929). The collection consists of correspondence, clippings, photographs, printed material, memorabilia, and papers relating to Crandall's career with the California Hardware Company and as president of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
Background
Crandall was born on March 25, 1871 in Colusa, California; attended San Francisco public schools; began work in wholesale hardware business in 1887; began affiliation with California Hardware Company in 1897, becoming president in 1918; president, National Wholesale Hardware Association; director, Security First National Trust and Savings Bank; president, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, 1929.
