Project Information: Silicon Valley History Online

This collection was created by Santa Clara University Archives staff from 2003-2004 as part of the Silicon Valley History Online Project.
Silicon Valley History Online is a collaboration of seven institutions providing the first gateway to the major historical resources of this important California region. Images dating from 1800 to 2000 illustrating life in California's Santa Clara Valley were selected from the collections of the California History Center, History San Jose, Intel Corporation Museum, San Jose Public Library California Room, San Jose State University Special Collections, Santa Clara City Library Heritage Pavilion, and the Santa Clara University Archives. Items include photographs, ephemera, artifacts, maps and manuscripts. They were digitized as part of a one-year collaborative project funded by the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) administered by the California State Library. For more information please see the Silicon Valley History Online website at http://www.siliconvalleyhistory.org/about.html .
