Scope and Content

Miss Phelan was the sister of Senator James D. Phelan. Her papers were presented to the Bancroft Library, with those of her brother and her nephew, Noël Sullivan, by Professor Benjamin H. Lehman in 1958 and 1961. They consist of correspondence, including letters of condolence written her upon the death of her brother, James D. Phelan, and miscellaneous financial papers.
