    Digital Representations Available

Digital representations of all original pictorial materials are available as a part of the Container list of the finding aid. Digital image files were captured from originals by the Library Photographic Service. Most Library originals were captured directly using a Phase One Powerphase digital camera back and a Hasselblad camera. Lower-resolution viewing files were prepared from the high-resolution master TIFF files: the master files were downsampled, sharpened, color-corrected, adjusted for a gamma 2.2 viewing environment, and saved in JFIF (JPEG) format before being placed on the server.
