In 1973, the Union was reorganized, merging all local unions into one Local to represent all hospitality workers within a given region, regardless of craft.
The Hotel & Restaurant Employees and Bartenders International Union Local 2 in San Francisco was particularly active in the late 1970's and early 1980's (the time covered by this archive), engaging in several strikes.
