    Biographical/Historical Sketch

    Allene Thorpe Lamson, wife of Stanford Press employee David Lamson, was found dead in her campus home on Memorial Day 1933. David Lamson was charged with her murder, tried and convicted, but was granted a new trial; all charges against him were dropped in April 1936.
