This folder contains a copy of one article from Look magazine, written in Oct. 1950 by Basil O’Connor (1892-1972), an issue of the Dartmouth alumni Magazine, dated May/June 2008 documenting Mr. O’Connor's works with FDR and Polio, as well as a collection of four eulogies given at his funeral in 1972.

Biographic information is also included.

These materials were added after the initial receipt of materials. Letters received by Mr. O'Connor 2 from Cordell Hull in 1949 13 in October, 1957, from various Congressmen or Senators about being endorsed or not endorsed by the Americans for Democratic Action in their publication in that same month. 1 letter in October, 1957, acknowledging receipt of a statement by Matthew s. Crinkley, Isbrandtsen Company, about "the dual rate case before the Supreme Court" by Edward C. Johnson of the Federal Maritime Board. This has the statement with it. 1 transcript of a hearing before the Committee to Investigate Campaign Expenditures, House of Representatives, December 29, 1944. The main witness was Mr. O'Connor.
