Description
Manning Ostroff was a writer, producer, and director in radio and television. The collection consists primarily of radio and television scripts related to his career as well as correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia.
Background
Manning Ostroff was born ca. 1908. He was a columnist and editor for The B'nai Brith Messenger (1932-38) and production manager at the Los Angeles radio station KFWB (ca. 1939-44). Ostroff produced and directed The Eddie Cantor Radio Show (ca. 1945-50), a local LA television show with Al Jarvis, and NBC's Colgate Comedy Hour (1950-54). He died December 15, 1981.
