Biographical/Historical note

Miss Fordyce, who earned her B.S. from Mills College in 1916, was secretary to Ray Lyman Wilbur, Stanford University president from 1915-1942.

Scope and Contents note

Letter concerns Wilbur's words to a high school student in 1939 on the key to success, a recent visit with the Hanna's, and her suggestion for a new name for Stanford's athletic teams.
