Biographical/Historical Sketch
This film was made as part of a PBS series on American universities; Don Lenzer was the director for this episode on Stanford.
Footage was shot in 1969 and concerns student demonstrations on campus, especially against the military research undertaken
at Stanford, and administrative responses to student activism; also included is a campus meeting concerning the Study of Education
at Stanford. Individuals featured include Kenneth Pitzer, university president, Richard Lyman, provost, Herbert Packer, vice
