    Scope and Content of Collection

    This is a small cord-tied album in Japanese dated Showa 11 (1936) on cover, (cover also notes "made in Japan" in English). The Japanese title is Nihon Meisho Shashin-Chō or "Photograph Album of Scenic/Noted Places in Japan." The album contains 26 views of various geographical and historical places of interest in Japan such as temples in Nara, Shintō shrines in Ise, Mount Fuji, the Meiji Shrine, the Asozan volcano in Ky?sh? among others. Illustrations are missing from some pages.
