Description
The Agricultural Technology Manuals Collection consists of manuals published by agricultural machinery manufacturers between 1893 and 2000. The manuals contain information intended to assist in the assembly, operation, and repair of tractors, combines, and other farm equipment.
Background
The Agricultural Technology Manuals Collection was compiled by the San Joaquin County Historical Society and Museum. The majority of the manuals have been donated by private collectors and by museum volunteers. Museum staff members have also purchased manuals to include in the collection. Until 2011, the manuals in this collection were stored with catalogs, brochures, and other promotional materials published by agricultural machinery manufacturers. They have since been separated and arranged independently.
