The pictures cover the whole range of Chinese history from earliest times to ca. 1940 and include views of persons, places, emperors, buildings, landscapes, temples, etc.

Written between 1914 and 1962 in various parts of the world. The manuscript is based largely on the collection of early Los Angeles resident, George W.
