Scope and Content of Collection

The content in this series consist of photocopies from the papers of Jeremy Bentham, provided to Professor Goldworth by the University of London. The bulk of these papers pertain to Bentham’s views on deontology and utilitarianism. In addition, there are several untitled and unpublished manuscripts including : Article on Utilitarianism and the Table of the Springs of Action, which Goldworth edited and transliterated into a single volume entitled "The Collected Works of Jeremy Bentham: Deontology Together with the Springs of Action and the Article of Utilitarianism," (Oxford University Press, 1983).

Scope and Content of Collection

The contents in this series consist of Amnon Goldworth's research and editorial notes on Jeremy Bentham's (1748-1832) manuscripts. Included are transcribed versions of Bentham's manuscripts, both handwritten and typed, as well as the notes on the organization and preliminary index of Goldworth’s book "The Collected Works of Jeremy Bentham: Deontology Together with the Springs of Action and the Article of Utilitarianism," (Oxford University Press, 1983).
