Biographical Note
American historian and author Robert A. Packenham is a professor of political science emeritus at Stanford University.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection consists of writings, correspondence, notes, interview transcripts and sound recordings, and printed matter,
relating to economic development and dependency theory, American foreign aid, and political and economic development in Brazil.
Of particular interest in the collection are the files of research plans and procedures, individual and group socio-economic
demographic data on Brazilian federal deputies, and transcripts of interview with the deputies, conducted by Robert Packenham.
