Letters from Eden Phillpotts to W. Morris Colles, ca.1892-1926

Scope and Content Note

Correspondence chiefly with W. Morris Colles, Phillpott's literary agent contained in 6 scrapbooks. There are approximately 1,100 holograph letters signed by Phillpotts, as well as 55 signed receipts, 10 letters to Phillpotts from various publishers, with holograph notes by Phillpotts in margins. A few letters are addressed to Messrs. Metcalfe, Johnson and Grey, presumably associates of Mr. Colles. Letters are written in London, Torquay, Sam Remo, Rome and other places.
