    Summary: One of the founders of the Magnavox Company was Edwin S. Pridham, who graduated from Stanford University in May 1909 with an a.b. in physics. Prior to the founding of Magnavox in March 1911, Pridham worked with Cyril Elwell, a 1907 Stanford graduate, on his wireless radio transmitter in Palo Alto. Other subjects covered in this history include the company's research in Napa, California, the invention of the loudspeaker, anti-noise systems used by the military, and the company's facility in Oakland, California.
