Description
Original pen and ink drawings (41 items), largely unlabeled.
Background
Rolf Ling Bolin earned his AB in graphic arts at the University of Utah in 1925; he then studied biology at USC and Stanford, where he earned his MA in zoology in 1929 and his Ph.D. in 1934. After completing his Ph.D. at the Hopkins Marine Station (HMS), Dr. Bolin joined the faculty there until he retired in 1967. He was Assistant and Associate Director of HMS for much of the time and also ran the Te Vega program.
