Abstract: Victor Zitta (1926- ) was a professor of political science. He taught at Gonzaga University (1958-60), Marquette University (1961-65), and the University of Maryland (1966-68). The collection consists of Zitta manuscripts including typescripts with holograph corrections of The methodological aspect in Georg Lukács' Marxist revisionism (1981) and Democracy or revolution: essays in the phenomenology of politics (1983).

Biography

Zitta was born on November 5, 1926 in Titel, Yugoslavia; attended Pazmany University (Budapest), 1946-47, and University of Salzburg, 1947-49; BA, Assumption College, 1953; MA (1956) and Ph.D (1962), University of Michigan; assistant professor, Gonzaga University, 1958-60; assistant professor, Marquette University, 1961-65; associate professor, University of Maryland, 1966-68; publications include Georg Lukács' Marxism: alienation, dialectics, revolution; a study in utopia and ideology (1964) and Revolution and counter revolution (1918-1921) (1990).

Collection consists of manuscripts by political scientist, Dr. Victor Zitta. Includes typescripts with holograph corrections of The methodological aspect in Georg Lukács' Marxist revisionism (1981) and Democracy or revolution: essays in the phenomenology of politics (1983).
