Bertram H. Crocheron (1882-1948) served as the Director of the University of California Agricultural Extension Service from
1919-1948. The collection contains speeches and articles by and about Crocheron and his work with the Extension Service.
Background
Bertram Hanford Crocheron was born on May 21, 1882, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He received his B.S. (1908) and M.S. (1909)
from Cornell University. He then served for four years as principal of the Agricultural High School in Sparks, Maryland.
