    Biography

    Turman was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1926; attended UCLA; before becoming an independent producer, he was in the textile business; some of his films include: The Young Doctors (1961), I Could Go on Singing (1963), The Graduate (1967), The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker (1970), The Drowning Pool (1975), and Gang (1979).

    Collection consists of scripts, drafts, and related materials for the following films: The Young Doctors, I Could Go on Singing , The Best Man, The Flim Flam Man, Pretty Poison , When Michael Calls, Give Me the World , Ordeal By Hunger , Project Pilgrim, Mister Sam, and The Graduate .
