Biographical/Historical Sketch

The Stanford SDI Video Group, composed of seven students, obtained a grant from the Associated Students to produce a film exploring issues raised by the participation of Stanford scholars in research related to the Strategic Defense Initiative.

Description of the Collection

Collection consists of unedited tapes of "SDI at Stanford: A Forum" with Lt. Col. Robert Allen, Dr. Bernard Roth, Dr. Joseph W. Goodman, Dr. David Bernstein, and Marc Strassman (moderator); a panel discussion by graduate students; and interviews with John M. Madey, Sidney Drell, Donald Kennedy, John Harris, John McCarthy, and Terry Winograd; and the edited master of the final video.
