Video recordings produced and collected by Sean Owen. Raw material from this collection formed the basis for the film Sing
Birds: Cahuilla Path to Power by Sean Owen. Materials collected between the years 2006-2009.
Scope and Content of Collection
Collection includes 62 MiniDV-format video tapes featuring interviews with Cahuilla bird singers and other informants. Participants
included Alvino Siva, Michael Mirelez, Gerald Clarke, Anthony Andreas Jr., Kim Marcus, Robert Levi, Katherine Siva-Saubel,
and others. Recorded in preparation for the film Sing Birds: Cahuilla Path to Power, produced by Sean Owen. Recorded between
the years 2006-2009.
