Description
Collection includes the original brochure announcing new scholarships, 1996; invitations and programs for dinners, symposiums, and other events, 1997-2002; photograph of the 1997-1999 fellows; and two audio tapes from events.
Background
In 1997, the Stanford Graduate Fellowship program was created to ensure funding for outstanding graduate students. Students receiving these three-year fellowships are free to choose their research projects and are not dependent on federal funding of a project or on faculty research assistantships.
