Biographical/Historical Sketch
Alan S. Manne was on the faculty at Stanford University from 1961 until he retired in 1992, with the exception of two years
teaching at Harvard (1974-1976). He was known for devising economic models pertaining to major world concerns and was the
author of 128 papers and seven books.
