William Styron, and Somerset Maugham, notes on Ernest Hemingway's works, and three published articles by or about Hemingway.

Biography
Peter L. Hays received a B.A. from the University of Rochester (1959), M.A. from New York University (1961), and Ph.D. from
Ohio State University (1965). He served as Professor of English at the University of California, Davis from 1966-2004.
His publications include:
Teaching Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises (2003),
A Concordance to Hemingway's In Our Time (1990),
Ernest Hemingway (1990), and
The Limping Hero: Grotesques in Literature (1971).
Scope and Content
The collection contains a small amount of correspondence from his teaching and research including brief letters from Bernard
Malamud, Arthur Miller, William Styron, and Somerset Maugham, notes on Ernest Hemingway's works, and three published articles
by or about Hemingway.
