to his wife, Margaret E. Bridgeford, and his child, Eugene, in Paris, Monroe County, Missouri, during the year 1850. Jefferson
Bridgeford writes about weather and work conditions as a store owner, his health, the health of his companions, matters of
business, and his travels around and out of the state.

April 2; Fort Chiles (?), May 28; Platt Ferry, June 20; South Irafs (?), June 28; Navada (sic) City, July 23; Sacramento,
