Description
The collection contains two handwritten volumes of Annie H. Bosworth's diaries from January-May 1878. A resident of San Francisco, California, Bosworth described her daily activities in her diaries, which included visits to Chinatown, Marin County, San Quentin prison, and several friends in the San Francisco area. She also described frequent visits to the Sovereign of the Seas, a ship built for the Cape Horn grain trade. Bosworth's family was possibly connected with this business.
