Scope and Content

This collection consists of scripts and transcripts of episodes of broadcast and cable network television series, specials, and made-for-television movies, most with a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender theme. The bulk of the collection contains scripts from the series, Brothers (1984-1989) and Ellen (1994-1998).

Scope and Content

The series contains scripts from the Showtime network situation comedy series Brothers (1984-1989). The series featured three brothers who attempted alternately to accept or "cure" their gay brother. Later episodes sought to educate viewers on HIV/AIDS.

This series contains scripts from Ellen a situation comedy broadcast on the American Broadcast Company (ABC) network, 1994-1998. Ellen Degeneres starred as a 30-something bookstore employee, Ellen Morgan. The series centered on Ellen’s neurotic ways of dealing with life, family, and friends.
